The shoes will be filled be another goalkeeper but Chris Handsor will wear the team colours.
Pat Onstad, the Edmonton Drillers' goalkeeper, was scratched from the National Professional Soccer League's all-star game, opening the door for the midfielder. Handsor will head to Wichita today with coach Ross Ongaro.
Ongaro will oversee the National Conference squad.
Warren Westcoat of the Kansas City Attack will replace Onstad while Handsor steps in for Kim Roentved, also of the Attack.
"I've played a lot of soccer -- coming from a long outdoor season straight to indoor -- and I'm nursing a lot of injuries right now,'' said Onstad. "It's a break my body desperately needs.''
Handsor, the Drillers' leading point man, will be making his first appearance in the showcase showdown. The game between the American and National Conferences will be carried live on satellite Wednesday. Shaw Cable will replay the tilt Thursday at 9 p.m.
