Forward Nikola Vignjevic of the Cleveland Crunch was named Monday as the National Professional Soccer League's player of the week.
The 29-year-old forward, a former member of the now-defunct Edmonton Drillers of the NPSL and Toronto Lynx of the outdoor A-League, collected 12 points - two three-point goals, four one-pointers and two assists - in two games. Vignjevic leads the NPSL with 17 one-point goals, is tied for fourth in assists with 19 and is eighth in points with 61.
Harrisburg Heat galkeeper Doug Petras was named defensive player of the week.
