I would like to take the opportunity to thanks some people.

First, thank you to all of the people who ever thought of going to see the Edmonton Drillers play but never actually made it out to a game. It's too late now isn't it? There won't be a ``next game.''

Thank you to all of the Edmonton media. You never gave the team a fighting chance. The team was only mentioned in your newscast or papers when it was a slow sports day and you needed a filler.

The coverage has been wonderful in the last couple of days; good thing it was all about the demise of the team! Don't worry, you don't have to pretend you like the team anymore.

Finally, thank you to all of the close-minded people in Edmonton. You who cannot fathom the idea that something else exists other than hockey.

Did you ever think that it was possible to support all of the teams in Edmonton instead of just one? One whose tickets are overpriced and hasn't won anything in at least 10 years.

We have just lost the best thing to ever happen to our city, the Edmonton Drillers.

You all deserve a piece of the blame for the loss of an amazing team. The city, and all of us are worse off for it.

Kelsey Breen,

Edmonton
